Description: Młody Pronaszko „zrażony sposobem nauczania i konserwatyzmem Akademii”, w niespełna rok po rozpoczęciu studiów na krakowskiej uczelni porzucił je, by w latach 1911-13 wraz z bratem Zbigniewem i Tytusem Czyżewskim, zająć się „organizacją pierwszych Wystaw Niezależnych, wzorowanych na francuskichSalons des Independants. Wówczas powstały akwarele i oleje: „Dziad i Pijak” (1910), „Dziewczyna z różą” (1910), „Chochlikpolujący”(1911), „Tatry”, „Zielony gaj”, „Motyw z Bukowiny” (wszystkie z 1912), „Topielec”, „Triumf śmierci”, czy „Portret męski” – obecnie Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie (wszystkie z 1913).
